So much for the blind date tonight. Unfortunately, Cornelius Pass decided to be a deciding factor and we decided it's better to be safe than sorry. I was looking forward to it, but he promised he'd call and set up another date... maybe this weekend. He sounds like so much fun! Oh, even if I really don't care for dating, I'm excited just to meet the guy. He sounds cute... you can tell a lot from a person from their voice, right?
In my last post I said how the cars had all gotten stuck in the driveway. Well, to my surprise, Shannon came up this morning, and dug and dug and dug, and he was able to get his truck out as well as the 4Runner. I could venture off the hill again! My mom and I went down the hill to do some errands, and I was finally able to mail a couple things. Unfortunately, they won't make it in time for Christmas, but that's okay. It's the thought that counts! Fred Meyer was absolutely packed, too. Virtually every shopping cart was occupied and many things on the shelves were sold out. Luckily, we got all of our Christmas dinner neccessities. It did take about half an hour to get through the line, though! I saw Kayla and her whole family, too. I haven't seen them in so long! And we ran into Kelsie, her sister, and a few other people we knew. When you live in a town this size, you can't help but meet up with someone in Freddy's.
Aunt Vicki is supposed to come down tomorrow on the train. I really hope she makes it so she's not alone for Christmas. I miss her, and haven't seen her in months. We even got her fun presents, taht even we would enjoy! haha. So I'm praying for her safe arrival.
I've been thinking about my missionary a lot lately. I've also been thinking about DJ and how he gets to call home on Christmas!!! I hope I am able to say hi, at least. I miss him. I was looking through all our wakeboarding, innertubing, boating pictures the other night. I would really like to be able to out board him on the wakeboard when he gets back, but looking at all the videos and pictures, I may set that goal aside for a while. I've only got 2 summers until he gets back. I'll just worry about school, and think of my missionary. Yeah, I like that idea.
I still need to see a lot of people before I go back to school. I'm going to start making an effort to after Christmas, if the weather allows. I heard it's supposed to get up in the 40's this weekend! Woo heat wave! I also am hoping that the roads are safe for when my parents and I leave for school. I don't want to have to have another 19 hour ride back to Idaho! This time though, I get to move all my things in. When I went out in November, I only had my laptop and 2 suitcases of clothes/random little objects. I've got it all this time, baby!
That's all that is really on my mind now. If you haven't noticed, being trapped in the house for several days will mess with a person's sanity.
