Crazy, crazy weekend.

We received some sad news yesterday, that a good friend of ours from our school ward passed on down in Utah over the weekend. It was a very emotional day for the 55th ward, but I can honestly say that I, personally, am okay. I don't want to seem heartless, but I have a lot of evidence and faith that our friend is where he needs to be right now... it was his time to go home. We miss you, and we'll see you again soon!

On another note, I have been sick with a nasty head cold for a few days now. I'm sitting in bed at noon on Monday and my eyes are blood red and I feel so dehydrated, like I've been without water for days. I am going to bed here soon. I need to have energy to when Casey gets home tonight. I'm so excited to see him!! He's been down visiting family with his sister for the long weekend. I miss him, but he got to do so many awesome things with his family: snowboarding, go to a temple open house, rock climbing, trampoline-ing..., and more.  I do get to spend our Valentine's Day with him on Tuesday, so that will make up for my weekend-long sickness controlling my head.

And, on a lighter note, my friend Matt got engaged last weekend!!! Congratulations, Matt! I'm excited to meet her this summer when you both more out to Oregon.
