One Year?!

Wow. The Scappoose Class of 2009 just graduated today. I unfortunately had to miss it because of work, but I can't help but think about how that was me just a year ago. ONE year ago. How did that happen?!?

And then summer... oh summer 2008, how incredible you were to me. So many things happened. I didn't have to worry about work and I made sure I spent everyday with the people I cared about.

I did a ton of camping with family and friends.

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I spent at least 2 days a week on the river wakeboarding and innertubing with the Claridge family and other friends.

DJ left on his 2 year mission to Provo, Utah.

I couldn't have asked for a better summer. It ended sad, but my next adventure started in Idaho. I was originally planning on attending University of Oregon, but due to promptings and impressions, I made a trip to Rexburg, fell in love with the school, and was admitted to BYU-I do. While out in college, I met some of the most incredible people. Here are just a few of them (If I were to add pictures of all the unbelievable people I've met, you'd be waiting for pictures to load for days):

I would just meet people and they asked if I wanted to go bowling. People are incredible.

This first Idaho family plus Symone (sorry Symone, facebook was eating babies and this was the only picture I had.)

These girls are crazy.

Then I started finding a more permanent "family" out in Rexburg.

And ended up with these guys.

We all became really close.

Perhaps some closer than others. Oh right. Well, I fell for a boy... but you already knew that.
I have been an adult for a year now. It's incredible that time passed by so quickly. I am now able to look into the future, seeing things that are possible within the next two years, and not cringe at the thought of all that time. I'm growing up finally!!
Congratulations high school classes of 2009 everywhere. Just know that you are just now beginning a whole new chapter, and you are in for one heck of an adventure. Enjoy it while it lasts.
