We had some massive excitement on the campus of BYU-Idaho today! And when I say excitement, I mean an event to postpone a quiz in chemistry. Yesssssss.
Apparently, the construction around the MC building had a waterline break, causing the hazard sirens to go off all over campus. So if you can, imagine this: Brother Ruebush, smiling and laughing, calmly reads the instructions of "What to do in case of a firm alarm". 1) Send someone to see where the fire and/or smoke is coming from (really?). We sent 3 students out INTO THE FIRE. 2) Remain calm. 3) Well, that's all I remember, really. Finally some guy comes in and says we have to leave the building, so we all get up, leaving our things, and take our time getting to the outside of the Romney building.
I found Kara, said hi. Said hi to a bunch of others, too. At one point, two guys and a girl in swimsuits and towels walk out from the Hart and make rounds around campus because they "finally had an excuse" to walk around like that. I think they got interviewed for I-News, too. A fire truck pulled up, too.
It was really exciting. That was maybe 15 minutes long and we had to return to the classroom for the last 20 minutes. Now I have one more day to study for a quiz. So if you ever need more time to study, go break a waterline and set off the hazard alarm. Or just pull the fire alarm. :)
