Called to serve

BYU-Idaho has been a blast so far. I've been here for a little under 2 weeks and I'm slowing getting adjusted to the flow of things. I've attended 2 devotionals to date, and absolutely loved them, especially the talk that Brother Warner gave a few days ago. It was about the importance of parenting, being an example, family, etc. Plus the choir was beautiful. That's my next step... to get involved with a choir. Whether it be the big guys on campus or the stake choir. I just want to get involved!

The picture above was Trish and myself becoming very bored on a Saturday night. Instead of olive fingers, we had raspberry fingers!! We also uploaded 47 pictures of the event onto Facebook. T'was grand!

My roommate is going on a mission soon. She finally got her call today in the mail around 1:30, and finally opened 4 hours afterward. We have video of it all, but she'll be serving in Mongolia!! It's crazy, and she leaves for the MTC in Provo in January. How exciting!! Another roommate will be putting in her papers in a year. Crazy stuff, these missions.

Speaking of missions, Elder Reed, or should I say Russell... went home today to Texas!! I'm so excited for him. I hope to hear from him soon. I'm sure his sister is freaking out, haha!

So everything is going well. Some friends and I are going to see Twilight tonight. And I've had fun. Last week we went bowling which is where the picture below is from. I think once I actually attend classes it'll be even better.
