Oregon Trip, February 2010

What a great getaway this last weekend was! I took home some good friends to "meet the parents" (haha) and to spend some quality time on Oregon soil. Saturday was spent on the coast, Sunday at church and around Dixie Mountain, and Monday was on the river and driving home. Here are just a few pictures from various cameras:

Five of us make the trip to Boise to drop one of us off, and the rest of us travel all the way past Portland! We made it home at about 12:30AM Saturday morning.

After driving 12 hours, we make another 2 hour drive to the coast. There are really 5 people in the car.

Sunset Beach! Geoff was trying to control the waves. Key word, trying. :)

We all had epic jumping pictures to recreate last April when Chelsie was here. This is my attempt. Ignore the expression of pain on my face.

Yes, we got in the ocean. I was actually dropped in the ocean and because my pants were basically see-through, I stole his pants for the remainder of the day. He had it coming.

We took a stroll on Washington soil at Fort Columbia. They had never been to Washington before!

Just thought it was a cute picture. Thanks.

And of course what trip would be complete without some hottub time?

Will took us out on the boat! We went down the Willamette River into downtown Portland, and then later out to the Columbia. It was a great trip!

In downtown.

So there is an explanation for this picture. Will's boat has a bow called the "play pen" because there aren't any room for feet, it's rather just cushions and whatnot for storage. For this trip, it had the cover on it making it almost like a little cave. Also, because this boat is wicked amazing, it has heaters, so we took the heat hoses and stuck them in the cave and we would just crawl on in to keep warm. I had my back end in the cave and all of a sudden Geoff crawls above me to get in and starts tickle-attacking me. This is somewhat of the after math. It was cruel, but really, really funny.

The gang out on the boat.

Whenever we bring new people home to the Claridge's, we have to have a party shower picture, so these are my buddies along with some friends from home in the party shower.

The last hurrah. literally seconds before we leave to make the 12 hour drive back to Rexburg.

Mom and Dad, thank you so much for putting up with us, feeding us, and making this escape possible. We all have such a blast and are still trying to recover from that drive. Well, I am at least. :) Thank you Will & Kimberly for taking time on Monday to entertain us. It was SO much fun! Hopefully they will all come back sometime. You know I'm coming back; you're stuck with me!
